No, there is no member registration fee.

What do I need to start learning with Hotsuma-Online?

You need a computer with internet access, a headset (or microphone and speaker) and Skype. If you also use a webcam, you can have a video call with your teacher. This makes your conversation practice almost like a face-to-face lesson.

Can I have lessons from abroad?

Yes, you can! If you have certain settings, you can have our lessons from anywhere in the world.

About Skype

What is Skype?

Skype is a voice communication service via internet. You can make calls to anyone who is on Skype for free, regardless of the length of your call. Skype also has free chat and video call functions.

How do I check my SkypeID?

Once you log into your account, you can see your SkypeID on the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

About Download of contents / Lessons

When I download videos and other materials once, can I check them repeatedly afterwards?

If you save the downloaded materials on your PC, you can check them anytime you like. However, there are validation dates for videos and download URLs for PDF files. Once those dates are expired, you need to purchase the videos and PDF files in order to see them again.

Who are the teachers?

Hotsuma-Online teachers are all Japanese native speakers who are qualified as Japanese language educators.

Membership registration

what is the cost of a membership registration?

Nothing. Membership registration is free of charge.

How do you manage registered information?

I have not received a confirmation E-mail after my membership registration. What shall I do?

It is possible, that your mail server (free mail like Yahoo mail, Gmail) automatically marked the message from WTE as “spam”. Please check your spam mail folder as well.

Can I edit or delete information I provided when I registered?

Yes, you can edit your information on your profile page once you’re logged in. In order to delete your registered information, you need to withdraw from membership. Please send us a message using the form on the inquiry page.

Is it possible to share one membership registration amongst several people?

You cannot share one membership with other people. Please make sure that each person has his/her own registration.

Is it possible to take a break without canceling my membership? And is it possible to withdraw from membership?

You cannot take a break from your membership. You need to reregister your membership later on, after withdrawing first. If you wish to withdraw, please send us a message using our inquiry form.
